Darren Aldridge started his boat building apprenticeship in 1989 and then joined Colecraft Engineering Ltd in 1992,
where he worked alongside Len Beauchamp,the much respected boat fitter, for over 10 years. In 2004, Darren decided
to start his own business in Rugby, Warwickshire producing high quality,individually crafted boats for discerning customers.
Now based at Braunston Marina, Northamptonshire, with a large workshop and two wet docks, Darren has a small, skilled team
and, with his long experience in the industry, he has built up a strong core of suppliers of
quality components and specialist services - from hull fabricators to bespoke mattress makers.
In addition Darren uses outside specialist craftsmen for certain
work - a marine engineer for engine installation, all gas fixtures are tested by Corgi registered fitters,
stunning painting and beautiful sign writing is done by specialists in each field. All are experienced people
who take pleasure in exercising their considerable talents when tackling the unique requirements of your boat.
